An Apology?

First, in his blog, Canzano admitted that he was completely fooled by Paul Allen's performance, saying it was worthy of Sir Lawrence Olivier. I would rank Paul's acting ability right below that of Chuck Norris. If Canzano couldn't tell that Allen was angling to repurchase the Garden all along, then I want to play poker with him. I'll even bring my own beer.

Second, he has begun to use phrases like "This pseudo-sale was about leverage for Allen and the Vulcans." Sound familiar? It does to me. Maybe that's because I've been saying very much the same thing for six months.

Finally, Canzano wants Allen to apologize? For what, making vague statements, then sitting back and watching the lemmings in the local media climb all over each other in a mad dash over the cliff? If Paul ever does sell the Blazers, which I still believe is highly unlikely, I think he'll miss the Keystone Cops movie that breaks out every time he speaks about the team almost as much as he'll miss watching his team play basketball. If Paul Allen owes anybody an apology, it's Steve Blake. And that apology could come next off-season in the form of a free agent contract offer.

Very nice work by guest blogger Ken Fuller (a.k.a. grumppa on Oregonlive), on Dave's Blazer Thoughts blog.

PA put the team up for sale as he was facing an endless amount of seasons losing money and being the butt of too many jokes. Then, the Sonics were sold and will most likley move allowing him to move the Blazers to Seattle where he's a hero. The Blazers will be an instand hit as they have Seattle people on it (Nate, Webster, Roy). He has options he didn't have when he put the team up for sale.
